One of countless Westerns that came in the wake of Sergio Corbucci's wildly successful Django, Django, Kill...If You Live, Shoot! arrives on DVD from Blue Underground with some exciting extras. The feature attraction is presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen, offering bright, well-balanced, and vivid colors. The print is clean and free of any debris or artifacting. Audio is presented in either English or Italian Dolby Digital mono with optional English subtitles. With this release Blue Underground has strived to assemble the most complete version of the film as possible, and due to the fact that some scenes were never dubbed into English, the film occasionally defaults to the Italian soundtrack while displaying English subtitles. Interviews with stars Tomas Milian and Ray Lovelock discuss everything from working with director Giulio Questi to the fact that Milian initially wanted no part of the film (he thought the director was too philosophical to craft a successful Western), with Questi himself reminiscing about how his previous work in documentaries helped to shape his feature career. A gallery of poster and still art showcases posters from around the world and numerous production stills, as well as a well-preserved, eye-popping theatrical trailer that is a sight to behold. Crafty viewers who are handy with a remote will also find some amusing extras, including an additional interview and trailers for other Westerns released by Blue Underground.
