Overview

"Sidney Poitier both starred in and directed this western drama, which gets a solid presentation on DVD. Buck and the Preacher has been given two transfers to disc for this release -- one letterboxed in its original widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1 (and enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16x9 monitors), and the other pan-and-scanned at 1.33:1. Both the original English language soundtrack and a dubbed track in Portuguese have been mastered in Dolby Digital Mono, while optional English language subtitles are also included. The disc also includes as bonus material the film's theatrical trailer, production notes, biographies of the key cast members, and a reproduction of the original theatrical poster."
