Overview

The first Monty Python film, which is little more than a collection of sketches from Flying Circus that were restaged for film cameras, comes to DVD with a pair of transfers. The widescreen transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1, and is preferable to the standard full-frame transfer. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include filmographies of the cast and crew. Fans of the group will love the disc, although they may be left wanting some more extras.
