Holiday’s follow-up to A Princess for Christmas hits all the right notes as the heir to a dukedom discovers love during the holidays. Holiday's latest (a sequel to A Princess for Christmas) is another contemporary Christmas romance. Facing a bitter divorce from her cheating ex, Dani Martinez is armed with a list of "things I will never again do for a man" to protect her from another broken heart. Still, it doesn't hurt having the handsome "Depraved Duke" of Eldovia, Maximilian von Hansburg, on her arm at the faculty Christmas party to show she's coping just fine. Max, who's also in the royal wedding of Dani's best friend Leo, is a safe choice because rich playboys never fall for common English literature professors. Except Max turns out to be a great listener, and suddenly he and Dani are sharing all sorts of secrets with each other. After a year of long-distance bonding, Max invites Dani to his estate in Eldovia for the Christmas wedding. But with physical attraction and a deep emotional attachment drawing them closer, Dani's not sure if her list will continue to save her.
