Fian has a problem. His brother, an aquatic dream demon like Fian, is getting married to a human. Fian is supposed to attend, but being shy and single, he lacks the plus one, and his brother is already teasing him about it. Fian decides to go and find his date in the human realm. After all, if his abrasive brother got a human to say yes to marriage, Fian figures he'll find one who is willing to give him a single date.
Kai has a problem too: a rotten ex and random migraines. On top of that, he gave up city life to move to a small town by the ocean where he runs a jam and tea shop, which is weird, given Kai never liked either. Looking back, he's not sure what led him to this place anymore, but he doesn't want to end up stuck there. When a handsome stranger walks into Kai's jam shop, Kai feels seen for the first time in a long time.
