Overview

As one of the most formidable young warriors of his age and heir to the Majaran crown, what could possibly trouble Prince Samir? How about an ancient enemy long thought to be only a myth? Running from a terrible betrayal, Prince Samir seeks refuge in the only place he can, and gets drawn into a desperate fight for survival. Together with his new friends, the young warrior must find a way to overcome the most formidable foe any of them has ever imagined, one capable of incredible destruction. But all hope is not lost. After an exhaustive search, a young healer discovers the key to overcoming the worst of the creatures' abilities. They still must face monsters out of legend with power far beyond their own, however. With help from the Wizard, Jenaris, they find that there may just be a weapon capable of the task--the sword Dragon's Fang. Now they must race against time not only to protect themselves, but also to find a place to stand and fight. Only one side can survive, and the struggle will push Samir to the limit on his considerable abilities to avoid annihilation. Don't miss Dragon's Fang, the exciting first installment of The Majaran Trilogy.

About the Author

Peter Rogers Stark is an American fantasy writer known for The Majaran Trilogy. Though his family moved a number of times in his childhood, he claims no home other than Chicago, and has been a dedicated Cubs and Bears fan all his life. In fact, he is named for Cubs pitcher,"Three-Finger" (Mordecai Peter Centennial) Brown and Rogers Hornsby.
As a young man, Stark enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps (Reserve). These days, he describes himself as a "general enthusiast," playing guitar and keyboard, and enjoying cars, sports, puzzles, the outdoors, food and martial arts. His love of reading and puzzles led him to join Mensa, a community whose members tend to share these passions.
Although he left college without graduating, he later returned and changed his major to Theology. He went on to earn graduate degrees and was ordained into the ministry. Stark now teaches and counsels with a small non-profit organization.
While always a writer on some level, Stark's decision to become a serious writer was spurred in part by the death of one of his favorite authors, Robert Jordan. At the time, Stark finally decided to do what he'd been putting off for too long, and within months he had finished his first book, Dragon's Fang, a novel set in a world partly based on the cultures of ancient India and Imperial China. He has since completed the writing of his initial trilogy, co-founded Eternum Publishing and is currently at work on his fourth book, Earthmaker.
Among his influences, he cites such writers as Robert Heinlein, Joe Haldeman, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Larry Niven and Douglas Adams.
