Overview

The dragon's blood coursed down Kediri's throat, scorching it all the way. He could feel it changing him in horrific ways. Gazing at the mirror in front of him, he discovered his eyes were as red as the blood he drank. His hands had become twisted and gnarled into hideous talons. Lifting his dragon wings, he glared at the ragged appendages. They were battle torn and scarred as if acid had dripped down and eaten holes in them. Haunted by his past, Kediri fears this nightmare will become a reality if he drinks the dragon's blood-making him evil. Not even Princess Angelina, who has stolen his heart, can force him to change his mind. Yet if he doesn't drink it, his life is forfeit-he will die from the disease called 'The Curse of the Dragon.'Princess Angelina can detect the potential power in Kediri and is anxious for him to release it. Her ability to detect power in others also reveals to her that the evil sorcerer Daemon is headed for her kingdom. He seeks to use her powers in order to subject the Dragon Kingdoms to his reign. With Daemon hot on her family's trail, Angelina will seek to thwart his wicked plans by joining forces with the Dragon Prince Kediri. Before Kediri and Angelina can stop Daemon's evil designs to rule the Dragon Kingdoms, Kediri must face the truth about his past and overcome his fears. Then the two of them will need to work together to bring peace to their world.

About the Author

Lisa Whitaker Esplin, when asked why she is never consistent, claims "I'm consistently me." There is only one constant in her life, her passion for writing. She loves to write more than anything else (especially running; although she does love to dance).
At one point in her life she wanted to be famous. It didn't matter how she got that fame: acting, dancing, singing or writing. But now she writes only because she loves it. So you might ask, "Why did she publish her books then?" Well it's no fun writing if you can't share them with others.
Another reason Lisa writes is because she wants to inspire others: to be better, reach deeper, and try to become more than they are. If anything, life has taught her that the greatest teachers are first the Savior, and then experience. "You have to live your life." Also she feels that the Lord wants her to share her talents so that she might bring glory, not to her; but to her Father in Heaven.
"My greatest treasures are the Savior, my children, spouse, family and friends; everything else is just added blessings." Another philosophy of hers is, "You can never have too many true friends." Lisa and her husband are raising two beautiful children, and their interesting dogs in the Land of Enchantment.
