About the Author

Peter Rogers Stark is an American fantasy writer known for The Majaran Trilogy. Though his family moved a numbrr of tines in his childhood, he claims no home other than Chicago and has been a dedicated Cubs and Bears fan all his life. In fact, he is named for Cubs pitcher, "Three-Finger" (Mordecai Peter Centennial) Brown and Rogers Hornsby. As a young man, Stark enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps (Reserve). These days, he describes himself as a "general enthusiant," playing guitar and keyboard, and enjoying cars, sports, puzzles, the outdoors, food and martial arts. His love of reading His love of reading and puzzles led him to join Mensa, a community whose members tend to share these passions. Although he left college without graduating, he later returned and changed his major to Theology. He went on to earn graduate degrees and was ordained into the ministry. Stark now teaches and counsels with a small non-profit organization. While always a writer on some level, Stark's decision to become a serious writer was spurred in part by the death of one of his favorite authors, Robert Jordan. At the time, Stark finally decided to do what he'd been putting off for too long, and within months he had finished his first book, Dragon's Fang, a novel set in a world partly based on the cultures of ancient India and Imperial China. He has since completed the writing of his initial trilogy, co-founded Eternum Publishing and is currently at work on his fourth book, Earthmaker. Among his influences, he cites such writers as Robert Heinlein, Joe Haldeman, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Larry Niven and Douglas Adams.
