Down a Lost Road (Lost Road Chronicles, #1)

Summer was supposed to mean sun, family, and fun…

…not undead warriors, mythical creatures, and trees that sing.

But that's exactly what 16-year-old Merelin gets.

Merelin's family has always been a little odd, but ever since her father disappeared four years ago, life has been pretty boring.

Then her world gets yanked out from under her.

Literally.

As if waking up in the desert of an alien world wasn't bad enough, the only person who sees her arrive is a fascinating — and infuriating — boy who calls himself Yatol…

…and tells her she carries the key that could save or destroy his world.

Can she trust his promise to help her survive, or should she walk away from his world—and the danger that threatens it—forever?

And if she fights…

…what price will she have to pay?

You'll love this fast-paced YA fantasy, because nothing is ever what it seems.

About the Author

J. Leigh Bralick was born in Washington, D.C. to a military family. After a childhood spent moving from state to state and taking many exciting and lengthy road trips across the country (accompanied by the requisite quantities of Beethoven, coffee and donuts, without which no road trip is possible), she settled down in Dallas, TX to pursue her education.

She received her bachelor’s degree in medieval history and a master’s degree in politics at the University of Dallas before going on to complete her bachelor’s in nursing from Baylor University. She spends most of her non-existent spare time writing fantasy novels. She is also still stuck in Texas, but happily considers it home after years of answering the question, “Where are you from?” with what she considered the very clever response of, “Nowhere.”

She is owned by a stubborn mutt named Liberty, a Caique who was a Cirque du Soleil acrobat in a previous life, three immortal hens who are secretly plotting world domination, and two hives of bees that are actually aliens.
