About the Author

Rachel Adams and Dawn McClellan are Southern girls (meaning the Southern United States) who grew up in the “Bible Belt.” Their outlooks couldn't be more different from their hometowns in Texas and Alabama. Their writing grew from an exploration of the culture and the hidden nuances of that culture. Their escapism grew into over 20 years worth of writing that they are processing to publish finally.

Their characters mean a lot to them, and they just wanted to share that excitement over them with other people. Their characters are often entangled and downtrodden by their place in life, yet willing to reach forward and either adapt to survive or find hope and strength to keep moving. They both love collaborative writing, and much of their hobby writing has ended up on serial platforms such as Kindle Vella.

They may both seem like extroverts at times but they admit to being an introvert that has to recharge their “social batteries” often.

I loved this book. Once I got started it was hard to put down. It is a perfect mix of supernatural, suspense, and romance. I highly recommend this author.

If you enjoy secret agents, court drama, and a large cast of fantasy and fantasy-adjacent beings, this will likely be your kind of book. Because of the variety of characters and the fast-paced action of the novel, it was a little difficult to really get invested in the characters at first, but I ended up really enjoying the dynamics between them and what they had to offer. Looking forward to seeing where the series goes from here!
