About the Author

Russ and his wife, Melissa, reside in Michigan, where they serve together in chaplaincy ministry to those incarcerated, helping them find the love, hope, and healing of Christ and a new start. The author first attended Alaska Bible Institute just months after he and Melissa were married. There, Russ graduated from the third-year program. Since then, he has served 18 years as a pastor, taught three years at the Bible college, and currently serves as the chaplain of the county jail near where they reside. Russ admits he made some serious errors along the way, but through repentance, the Lord used them for good. Russ also has a master's degree in ministry from International College of Ministry. He and Melissa have been married for 35 years, have five grown children who all love the Lord, and eight beautiful grandchildren.
