About the Author

At eight years old, I first started seeing the effects of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) in my life. The symptoms slowly took over and caused extreme fatigue and unending pain. Sadly, I did not receive a proper diagnosis until I was 12 years old. Even with facing four years of pain with no answers, I was still one of the lucky ones to get an EDS diagnosis relatively early.
Other students were not kind and resorted to bullying as a reaction to a condition they did not understand.

This inspired me to launch my personal platform, Not Invisible Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which aims to raise awareness and funding for EDS.

As someone who had to learn to walk again, today, I confidently take the stage in the Miss America Teen Organization as a symbol of hope and perseverance for anyone facing an Invisible Illness. I hope this book inspires someone out there and changes the mindset of all who read it.
