Meet Zanobia Cassell, a nursing assistant working the morning shift at a local nursing home, Zanobia sees a UFO, that's right an unidentified flying object. Fascinated by what she witnessed she confides in her family and very close friend, but she resumes her quiet life of work and home. However, unable to forget that evening when she saw the UFO, her close friend Nikki suggested she join a special interest group that focuses on UFO's.

Seeking such a group Zanobia pursues her search online and finds Emerging Minds, a local organization that discusses not only UFO's but other mysteries of the universe as well. Soon Zanobia joins the group, attends meetings, and is soon approached by the group's founder Professor Cornelius to assist in part-time work.
Professor Cornelius is a questionable character and runs a kind of esoteric- underground group. Moreover, Zanobia learns after joining the group the Professor is involved with the stealing of jewelry, running a bogus investment club, and he owes money to many including a deceased pharmacist son, who has no interest, no respect, and no tolerance for Professor Cornelius.

With a feeling of uneasiness in both her job, her relationship with a married man and Professor Cornelius shady dealings, Zanobia always talks to God and always prays confining in Him. Through this account the various characters deal with the ups and downs of life's twist and turns the reader sees how the major players in this story come out on top in a positive light. And although Zanobia is moving in the right direction, one incident makes her wonder where things are really going.
