About the Author

Tammie was born and raised in Manitoba's Interlake region. She was a happy child who used her imagination to entertain herself through the long lonely days on the farm. She raised a daughter while working as a public servant. Tammie volunteered herself from the time she was a young girl, first as a bus patrol, then as vice president of the student council and later as vice president of the Union for Veterans Affairs. In her retirement years she began to volunteer for a non-profit organization by baking cookies for the members. She is happily married and lives in the Interlake once again. She enjoys her three grandsons and her many nieces and nephews. She also enjoys fishing with her husband and spending time walking her happy pups.
