"Dogs I've Met" relates Jessie Bailey Crook's many casual meetings with a wide variety of dogs and what their owners said about them. For several years, while enjoying her own three, she met other dogs during her international and domestic travels. Jessie Bailey Crook and her husband, Tom, live on a small farm near Columbus, Ohio.It wasat theirSunnyfield Farm that they enjoyed the company ofJessie's "schoolyard dogs," Cameron andSimba,and their inherited dog, Trixster.Jessie is a life-long dog lover, having grown up on another Ohio farm with many hunting dogs around the place.During hercareer as a classroom teacher and then as the curriculum coordinator at an international studies and foreign languages middle school, Jessie was involved in regular international travels with her students and for her Global Education degree.Tomwas alsoa teacher, so they spent many summers together in domestic travel,camping and touring with their motorcycle.Everywhere she wentJessie enjoyedgreeting dogs and easily engaging their owners in dog-talk."Dogs I've Met" is the result of those encounters.
