About the Author

Yusuf Husayn Abdul Shahiid was born on August 27th, 1970 in Ramapo, New York. His parents were non-practicing Baptist Christians, although he never subscribed to their faith. He reverted to Sunni Islam in 1999, and in 2005 he finally became a Shi’ite Muslim. He attended the Imam Ali Seminary for a short time, and benefitted greatly from the teachings of Sheikh Muhammad Baig. He eventually evolved into a public speaker, giving lectures in varies Islamic centers around the country, and he also taught Islamic Studies at the Al-Hadi School, which is part of the Islamic Education Center of Houston. He is a student of Islam, as well as a practitioner, and had the benefit of personal tutoring from Sheikh Ghulam Shabbiri, Shiekh Ali Akbar Badei, and classes with Sheikh Haydar Shamshad. God-willing, in the near future, his auto biography “Nowhere Fast” will be available.
