THREE WALES

Who plucked me out, threw on their backs and turned my eyes to the East.

First: when I was 11 years old I sat in class sharing the desk with Lena Babintseva, who soon left the school due to accidental fall on the way to school.

Thirteen years later when I was surgical oncologist, Her mother, Rosa Babintseva, was admitted to my ward with stomach cancer, that, as we have laparotomized her, revealed itself inoperable as grown into the liver, abdominal aorta, pancreas, mesentery, thus forming one huge conglomerate of the horrific abdominal mass. Even with chemo and radiation she had no more than one and a half month to live, as we advised her husband, who said I am taking her away from the hospital.

A little over a year past some young and utterly beautiful woman approaches me on the bus stop and asks: Doctor Kanevsky, did you know Rosa Babintseva?

Yes, I did, I replied, - she died a year ago ...

Alas, 'tis me, - woman expostulated that made me stagger and almost faint from shock.

Every imaging and each laboratory study revealed no trace of any tumor as if never aught have ever been.

My husband took me to herbalist who lived in a village, an old woman, not a doctor, but she makes herbs, -Rosa related to me. I was drinking them every day. I also drank carrot and beet juice.

And, as you see, this is the result.

Second: I am on my honeymoon with Marina in some remote country resort in Siberia, wherein we see the advertisement of somebody presenting the art of therapeutic massage. So we decided to spectate. The masseus is seventy five years old Galina Ivanovna, who said to the audience: I used to do massages to Russian partisans during Second World War, who were freezing in the woods without any medicine. So they were restored through my massage. I still do up to eighteen massages a day in the regional Hospital. That was all she said. Now, - she came short to her very business, - who wants to volunteer?

The middle aged man whom I happened to know well, stooped down to the table and said : I can.

-What do you have? She implored.

I've got fever hundred and four and I cough. The man, named Michail Waxman, reported. You definitely are burning, She expostulated, pressing hand to his forehead. Get up, go home, rest, and come back tomorrow, She advised Michael. He smiled and removed himself, dashing: Thank you, -across the shoulder and disappeared.

The next day have brought him back reporting no fever and no cought.

It took me six months thereafter to persuade Galina Ivanovna to teach me of her art. I thought I have found the exit portal from my unhappy irresolution over the medicine tought to us in medical school that I was bound, cribbed, cabined and confound to practice.

In six months of refusal, resistance and running away, Galina Ivanovna looked at my hands and said. Your hands are good. You can do it. Just repeat after me.

Third: My grandfather once, after he was already well into his retirement from auspicious appointment, received a letter from a man who claimed to know him, call himself herbalist who helps many people with many illnesses and invited him to visit, having provided with the address that belonged to some village in Ukraine.

So my grandfather took his wife with him and came to the village to discover huge line of people sitting there for three or four days curbed to the road edge to see Andrei Potapovich.. Do you not know that no clever man goes to hospitals or clinics anymore in Ukraine? We all come to Andrei Potapovich for treatment, he keeps us alive, - voices of waiting solicitors counseled. -We are going back, - grandfather decided, and they turned back toward the railway station when some man approached them and asked: Feodor Semeonovich Samsonovitch? -Yes, I am, - grandfather responded.

Andrei Potapovich wants to see you right now, please come with me. As they, passed through the hyspolinic throng, entered into a small house, the man rose before their eyes, rather old and introduced himself as Andrei Potapovich, saying: Feodor Semeonovich, my dear, you may not remember me but you saved once lives of my family. I worked as the maintenance person in your sindicate after the Great Patriotic War when there was famish in the country. I told you that my family is dying from hunger and you immediately arranged to send to my house the whole truck loaded with potatos. Now stand before you I with eternal gratitude and offering to sustain your health with my herbs.

Indeed over the whole decade of grandfather's life was sustained by herbs that Andrei Potapovich was making for him. I can introduce you to him, - grandfather told me when I was already twenty four years old surgeon. Only, he does not recognize but rather dispises doctors therefore tell him not you are a doctor. CASE

Of WR in late eighties with Alzheimer' disease whom at her session I had asked to repeat "Apple, New York and Hellicopter" which she did yet in a minute repeated only New York whence in two minutes repeated none.

I pressed on two Xi points- one on Jueyin on foot and one on Taiyin of hand, whereafter asked her to repeat the same three words, whereof she repeated " New York, Airplane no, no, Hellicopter, wasn't it, and.... Some fruit ... I think it was an apple!"

Analysis: the syndrome of memory loss is caused by the pathogenic energy coupling with blood in the lower parts of a body and with energy in the upper parts. Jueyin of foot as the major reservoir and distributor of blood and Taiyin of hand as the major reservoir and distributor of energy, by the procedure released stored pathogenic energy from the energy cleft thereby restoring woman's memory. I have created the procedure. Sounds promising, ha?

CASE

Of BA in late fourties with profound mental depression intensified over the past year. Presents in melancholic mood, tearful, humourless, exhausted, sunken and doomed, pondering exclusively on themes of death.

Heart and small intestine pulses on Cunkou are slippery, of floating and gigantic(Taiyang), small and sunken(Shaoyin), and both of kapha quality.

After the purging pressure on Jing(Well), Ying, Xing and Jing(River) points on Shaoyin, patient began laughing; haggard, puffy ands sunken quality at once disappeared from her face, that became pink-red; she also has became rather energetic and, continuing laughing, confessed that have not felt happier within the last at least fifteen or twenty years. What did you do to me? She expostulated through incessant inextricable laughter. Withal she felt motivated to keep on living and at once have developed for herself constructive plan of action, that included advancement of her long forsaken creative projects.

Both pulses have attained pitta quality, whereof Taiyang less floating, while Shaoyin larger and more full.

Analysis: Heart and small intestine therewith are conquered by kidney's water that required the revival of heart's fire, purging of the excess cold quality from Shaoyin and Taiyang. Since in the latter it's pathological character is of Yin in Yang type, Jing(River) point on Yin channel was employed.

TO REINFORCE SHAOYANG

Whereon the power depends life of the entire body in autumn and pronouncingly in winter;of both Yangming and Taiyang -making it so important for survival of cancer, paralysis, coma, etc. patients, and, most intimately, of Shaoyin, - signifying the immediate survival of heart and kidney patients, - use daily ginger, lyme and tangerine with or without dairy, -in juice, decoction or any other form.

MOXIBUSTION FOR BURNS

Apply direct moxibustion to the acute skin burn. Insane as sounds, I have proved to Chinese doctors this the only option for fast and radical cure of burns, based on my thorough analysis of actual pathogenesis of body' reaction to a burn. I have proved it on the case of my own acute burn of the 8 by 9cm area of the hand, that on the next morning after moxihbustion was gone in entirety.

CASE

Of MM in in late fifties who six months ago had begun on my herbs for terminal cancer " first found in uterus, then in duodenum which later metastasized into liver" One month ago, for the first time began feeling pain, - yet vague, yet wondering, but localized to abdomen and back, mostly to the midportion thereof.

Last week pain has increased, forthwith distention of low abdomen, slight edema of legs, and constipation, wherefore Radix et Rhizoma Rhei and Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata were administered which produced purgative effect of nine times a day. However pain increased in severity up to inability to be tolerated, whereupon Radix Curcumae, Rhizoma Coridalis, Rhizoma Spargani, Rhizoma Cyperi and Fructus Toosendan were added to normalize liver qi and qi in middle jiao. Pain had decreased for but one day thence increased again, wherewith patient felt cold, especially in her limbs, wherewith she also vomited clear fluid, lost weight, acquired yellow overtone on her facial skin, and was somnolent. I will be fighting no matter what, patient stoically proclaimed, unable even to breath from so strong a pain, that withal made her roll on a floor and scream, almost to the lost of consciousness. Yet her instincts to eat "millions of citruses, and pork with tons of garlic, and chestnuts" was absolutely concording with nature and perfectly with condition of her body, that developed cold syndrome in her spleen, stomach and middle jiao, that also was breaking down kidney's water. Citruses and garlic reinforced her middle jiao and spleen, pork invigorated kidney's water, yet middle jiao remained cold therefore pain persisted. To warm up middle jiao and to restore it's yang qi I administered to her Radix Astragali, Rhizoma Zingiberis, Cortex Cinnamomi, Radix Glycyrrhizae, Fructus Jujubae, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae and Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata while suggesting to her not to use Radix and Rhizoma Rhei, for excessive purgation has gotten her middle jiao to the state of deficiency, reinforced by the normalized liver qi.

Her pain remarkably improved forthwith the fear that cancer is taking over, so typical for cancer patients during the first year of treatment.

CASE

Of PS in early forties with lupus erythematosis wherefore in treatment with me nine months, whereby his tongue changed from purple-blue with indentated ridge forthwith pulse diagnosed abdominal masses into pale pink with rare scattered one millimeter redder spots and smooth ridge, withal no pulse evidence of abdominal masses. He also has persistently through treatment bleeding hemorrhoids, today feeling cold in extremities and skin, and low energy. Pulse reveals pitta in every organ.

I pressed on Yuji and Ququan, whereof patient felt great and ecstatic influx of energy to his body and warmth to his skin and extremities. Reddish spots practically dissipated from his tongue.

Analysis. His today's examination attests to trapped internal heat. It happens when blood couples with Yang whilst energy with Yin. Withal the upper warmer, due to excessive heat is despoiled of energy to drive Yang to the skin and extremities. Ququan stimulated connects blood back to Yin, whilst Yuji- energy to Yang, withal giving energy to upper warmer to dissipate the heat towards the surface.
