Chapter One

Do You know I love You, God? I want to show I do, From early in the morning Until the day is through.

When I wake up, I'll say hello To this big world You made Then thank You for the flowers And the branches with their shade.

I'll tell my friends about You And how You love them so. You give us rain and sunny days And food to help us grow.

How can I show I love You, God? I know! I'll give out hugs And lots of love to Wormie, Flo, And all the garden bugs.

When I am playing with my friends, I'll do my best to share. I'll be polite to everyone So You will know I care.

I'll show I love my family And help them every day. I'll try to do what Mama asks—You say I should obey.

I'll clean my room and scrub-a-dub And say my prayers at night To thank You for the many ways You fill my days with light!
