About the Author

Sr. Faustina was a young nun living in Cracow, Poland in the 1930's. Despite having only 3-years of formal education, she recorded extraordinary revelations from Our Lord, which she compiled in notebooks – known today as the best-selling Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska. In 1979, The Marians of the Immaculate Conception, lead by Fr. Seraphim Michalenko, were instrumental in bringing it—in its rough typewritten form —out of Poland. On April 30, 2000, Pope John Paul II canonized St. Faustina and called for the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday.

What People are Saying About This

Pope John Paul II

"I wish solemnly to entrust the world to Divine Mercy. I do so with the burning desire that the message of God's merciful love, proclaimed here through St. Faustina, may be made known to all peoples of the earth and fill their hearts with hope."
