Eli Harkless is a renowned Foundational Black American author and historian who has dedicated his life to exploring and celebrating the rich history and culture of Black Americans. Born on July 15, 1969, in Bridgeport, CT, Eli was raised in the southern states of SC and GA by his parents, Elijah, Sr. and Elaine Harkless. He has a sister and a brother who both live in Florence, SC.
Eli's passion for history and his people began at a young age, and he has spent his life studying and writing about the contributions and struggles of Black Americans. His second book, "Devils in the Details," is a powerful and transformative work that honors the legacy of Foundational Black Americans and their descendants. The book is a tribute to the resilience and strength of Black Americans, and it celebrates their contributions to society.
In addition to his work as an author, Eli is also a father of ten children, four of whom are stepchildren, and he has three grandchildren. He is deeply committed to his family and community, and he is a respected leader and advocate for social justice and equality.
