About the Author

Tony is a son, husband, daddy, college professor, and 5th-generation Texas farmer and rancher. He spent much of his life working on political campaigns, worked and farmed his way through his undergraduate years, raised cattle, married his college sweetheart, and settled down within ten miles of where he grew up. Tony began teaching on the college level in graduate school and remains a beloved professor to his students. He spends his days stamping out ignorance in his classes, and with his lovely wife raises two daughters, good cows, and eyebrows on occasion.




Della Violet is the oldest child of two proud parents and the inspiration for the character in this series. She loves school, going to church, reading, swimming, art, basketball, playing Minecraft, and feeding range cubes to cows. When she grows up she wants to be a dolphin trainer, an archeologist, a geneticist, a scientist, a doctor, a horse trainer, a teacher, etc. Her favorite color is purple and she likes pizza and Dr Pepper.
