About the Author

Steve Hughes is retired. He was born to a military family in Wisconsin where he tended grade school. He moved to Minnesota and completed high school there. He enlisted in the army in 1971 and spent 3 years in Germany. After completing his tour of duty he returned home to Minnesota and Wisconsin where he met his future wife Robin. They moved to Spokane WA. And were married in 1976. They remain married to this day. Steve attended Eastern Washington University and went on to work in construction, chemical purchasing, and heavy truck driving. He writes for something to do in retirement.
