About the Author

India Powers and her romance novel Demon’s Bane won the adult fiction category of the Soon to Be Famous Illinois Author Project as well as Best First Book in the Prism Awards. Her manuscript "Demon's Bane" about a mage seeking revenge for his wife’s death who finds a second-chance at love was a Romance Writers of America Golden Heart® award finalist.

India writes fantasy romances set in England. Demon’s Bane is the first entry in her Mageblood Chronicles series. India grew up in West Texas. She has a B.S. in Languages and Linguistics from Georgetown University and an M.A. in Romance Languages from Texas Tech University. Before becoming a writer and stay-at-home mom, India worked as a copywriter, proofreader, and computer programmer/analyst. She is a member of the Alliance of Independent Authors, Regency Fiction Writers, and Romance Writers of America.
