Matthew was born and raised on Long Island, NY to a struggling actor/wedding singer and a short-order cook. He wrote, edited, and lettered his first comic book in 2009 and used that comic book to land his first paid published work with Double Take. "I was really surprised by this issue. I enjoyed it from beginning to end and while I don’t quite see how it fits in to the overall universe, it’s very entertaining. There’s a lot of dark humor which I personally like. That and George is condescending to everyone; you shouldn’t like him because of that, but you end up liking him because of the shit he says. If like me, you were kind of on the fence with this series then stick around and enjoy the humor."
