Overview

As a young woman from Brooklyn, NY I wrote this book in my bed day and night throughout the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020. I found myself stuck in my own thoughts. With the feelings of hopelessness on the health of the world and the feeling of frustration coming from the death of black men and women nonstop. I found myself stuck in my bed trying to figure out my spot on the planet. In this confusing world. I thought for endless hours that I could never get out this funk. A overflow of depression and drowning in anxiety. I stopped watching the news because I was tired of being tired. I found myself in my phone, in my notes, writing out prayers for friends as well as myself. Turns out those prayers turned into this book. Turns out I didn't just write it for the people I knew. I wrote these prayers for anyone who can relate, or knows someone like me. These prayers are for you. A once lost girl from Brooklyn, prays for you ever night and day and now you can see them and read them. Thank you for choosing my book. Thank you for reading my words.

Her family and friends always encouraged her to publish her poetry, and now she is finally ready.
