Dead Quivers, A Key West Summer
It�s the hot and humid summer of 1977 in the Florida Keys. The �Son of Sam� killer is terrorizing New York City residents, stalking them with a .44 magnum handgun, Jimmy Buffett�s song, Wasted away in Margaritaville is getting radio play and climbing the charts and Elvis Presley will drop dead in his bathroom at Graceland Mansion.

For Henry Roberts, a native born Conch, none of that concerns him very much. He has his own family dilemmas he is wrestling with. His mother has separated from his father, leaving the Keys for the mainland to be near the state hospital for the mentally insane where his older brother has been recently committed.

Henry�s father, Jake, a fisherman, has decided to go shrimping for the summer and dump Henry off in Key West at his great Aunt Lela's house whom Henry has never met before, where he meets Roberto, the bastard grandson, Lela is rasing after his mother abandoned him as an infant.

During Henry�s long summer stay on Bone Island he discovers why the locals frequently refer to Key West as Key Weird.

About the Author

William Williamson is the author of SOME CAME FIRST and SOME CAME AFTER, the first two novels of his Florida Keys trilogy. The final novel, SOME CAME NAKED has a publication date for 2015. His short stories have been previously published in three Key West anthologies, Once Upon an Island, Beyond Paradise and Mango Summers featuring new Key West authors. He is also the author of a collection of short stories titled, Jack, Beans and Muffins and seventeen books of prose poetry.

William Williamson was born and raised in the Florida Keys where his family has lived in Key West and Islamorada for over a hundred and fifty years. Though proud of his Conch heritage, William currently resides in St. Augustine, Florida. Between writing fiction and prose poetry, working on completing revisions to SOME CAME NAKED, the third novel of his Florida Keys trilogy, following SOME CAME FIRST and SOME CAME AFTER, William, enjoys time with his son, Brandon, taking care of his botanical garden and koi ponds while raising two green iguanas with his adorable wife, Cocos.
