About the Author

Owen Jones, Amazon Best-Selling author from Barry, Wales, has lived in several countries and travelled in many more. While studying Russian in the USSR in the '70's, he hobnobbed with spies on a regular basis. After university, in Suriname, he got caught up in the 1982 coup, when he was accused of being a mercenary.
Later, while a company director, he joined the crew of four as the galley slave to sail from Barry to Gibraltar on a home-made concrete yacht during Desert Storm. En voyage, the yacht was almost rammed by a Russian oil tanker, and an American aircraft carrier - The Atlantic Challenger.
Since 2004, he has lived mainly in the UK, Spain and Thailand. He now leads a somewhat quieter life in his wife's remote, northern farming village writing, editing and increasing the number of translations, and narrations of his novels.

Great read ! Good story with an unique twist on "suicide bombers". Owen Jones has obviously an intimate familiarity with the locations and venues mentioned in this fast moving story. Would agree with the reviewer who considers this tale as an ideal "film plot" . Keep it up Mr Jones !

A well written thriller that starts off on top gear and stays there all the way through. The scary thing is this sort of event could happen – could be happening now for all we know – and the subject is likely to get one or two backs up. However, subject aside, Mr. Jones has written a superb story, with great characters, that spans 9 different countries and dozens more cities. Excellent book, I will definitely be looking out for more from the same author.

I appreciate also that the other gave depth to the story by making the characters well-rounded and psychologically complex, instead of taking the easy way out. Would also make a great movie.

The novel will expose the reader to a moral ambiguity that may be uncomfortable for many, but that should not put you off; Owen Jones handles the issue with impeccable taste and does not lose sight of the narrative in the process.
Definitely one to recommend to readers who enjoy the works of Andy McNab, Chris Ryan and Stephen Leather.
