About the Author

Meryl Yourish attended the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers' Workshop at Michigan State University, which led to her first fiction sale.

After spending most of her life in northeastern New Jersey, Meryl moved to Richmond, Virginia in 2002. She spent her first six years in Richmond teaching fourth graders in religious school at a local synagogue. Although a teacher really shouldn't play favorites, the hero of The Catmage Chronicles was named after one of her students (he thinks it's cool).

Today she spends her time writing and lives with her two cats, one of whom looks suspiciously like Letsan.

Find out more about Meryl, her writing, and her cats at www.merylyourish.com.
