Meryl Yourish attended the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Workshop at Michigan State University, which led to her first fiction sale.

She spent most of her life in northeastern New Jersey. Meryl moved to Richmond, Virginia in 2002, where she writes novels and lives with two cats, one of whom looks suspiciously like Letsan.
