Overview

"I'm not a monster . . . at least not yet."

Otherworlders roam among the planes unseen. Only Dreamers can kill them, but only Dreamers can let them escape to the Waking World, our world, as well.

Fiske: a rugged Winhagoan with a reputation as dirty as his theft-inclined fingers. A Dreamer. Hunter and hunted.

Safreise: a Healer with a daunting past and an unseen future. Savior and ruination.

Grey: a blind boy, spurned by his clan and rejected by his parents. Worthless and unwanted.

Austa: Grey's sister and the only relative who gives a damn about him. Leader and avenger.

Paths are meant to be trodden upon, but what happens when the path twists? What happens when it contorts, bending back upon itself, dissolving amidst the shadows? Is it still meant to be followed? What happens to the one who continues on their way?

Fate, after all, never reveals what's in store.

About the Author

Maria Dembouski is a 19-year old author and three-time first-place
winner of the Deep Valley Book Festival’s Writing Contest.
She lives in Minnesota, and unfortunately, does have a bit
of the accent. She’s obsessed with bread and dreams of
living in a cottage amidst the woods surrounded by funny
fae folk as she bakes loaves of the wonderful food and picks
wildflowers in billowing dresses. You can find more
