A young Halfling named Pepper decides to leave her old life behind and become a traveling thief. However, the glamorous life of adventure is more difficult than she bargained for. With the help of some new mysterious friends, they embark on a perilous journey to find a legendary staff of power. Along the way, they encounter a treacherous gang of cutthroats led by a wicked mage that will stop at nothing to find the staff first. Pepper realizes that life on the road is much more dangerous than she expected, and wonders if the fabled staff is real or just a deadly trap.
