About the Author

Jeffrey Hunter received his formal education from Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, a Historically Black College. Benedict College is where he learned to walk with his head lifted and have respect for himself as well as others. Historically Black College and Universities (HBCU) were designed to cultivate an environment that lifts African American self-esteem. The author received his theological training from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina, Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina, United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, and Bethany Theological Seminary in Houston, Alabama. He taught for several years at Allen University in Columbia South Carolina, also an HBCU where high self-esteem was encourages. He taught at Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina and Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina. He is the Founder and CEO of Jeffrey Hunter Ministries, a non-profit community outreach corporation. Throughout his pastorate he preached a message of liberation, hope, and high self-esteem to his congregations.
