Daniel, The Chaos Within
Sometimes, it seemed Daniel's brain farted big blundering expulsions of stupidity. He had so much going his way, yet his teenage mind and body continually put himself in harm's way. What made it worse was he also placed others in jeopardy.
Yes, he and his mom had thwarted a mad scheme to violently twist the political balance of the United States. Yes, he had unveiled mad men spreading insanity just because they could. Yes, he'd saved Amber from death, and found her love to be precious beyond all he'd ever hoped for. Yes, his world was more intact and secure than ever.
He still had his mom, Melinda, his rock. He still had Amber, his love and reason to live, and he still had Samson and Samantha, mountain lions who he considered to be his brother and sister; but he also had the Black-ones, the demon voices of those he'd slaughtered, ever whispering poisonous thoughts, especially when Daniel found himself in moments of weakness; and their numbers had grown. He had added more souls to the body count, and more memories from those evil men now lived in him.
Another inner thought stirred, raising new questions, and Daniel began to realize just how different he was from others, his crazed abilities unexplainable, and Daniel wondered increasingly about what he was, rather than who he was.
But threats remain, the chaos was spreading, and Daniel couldn't just hide away and pretend the crazy ones would leave him alone. No, he had to kill them, but to do that he had to find them.

About the Author

I'm not your typical writer. Truth is I flunked English twice and until 2007, at the tender age of 59, I would never have dreamed of putting story to page. But the characters keep coming into my thoughts, and their words are much better than my own, therefore, late at night when the real world has fled, I sit alone, eyes closed, and I fumble pecking at the keys of my computer.
Faces and emotions crystallize vivid and alive. Stories sprout, expand, twist, and I find myself on strange roads, in the company of people I’ve never met, immersed in worlds beyond my wildest imagination. They tell their stories. I frantically fling my fingers at the keys, along for the ride, struggling to believe the words appearing on the screen.
