Overview

Bill, with Wendy Harpe founded in 1968, what would become the national centre for participatory arts in Liverpool. Which today is a Black led arts centre, in the heart of the UK's oldest Black and Chinese communities. It is still providing inclusive cultural practice for all people. Bill wrote extensively about the dance of African peoples in the Diaspora and this book now serves as a key record of achievement and for the many dance makers who contributed so much and whose history has not always been visible.
