Story telling is in our family's DNA.
Raised on the tradition of enjoying good food and great tales at the family table, Anne Marie learned at an early age about sharing intimacy through the spoken word. Her large family often "loved loud" and even though everyone spoke at the same time, all were understood. She has fond memories of her Italian father starting most conversations, then her older siblings and their children shared their own stories of the day or memories of years past. Anne Marie also inherited the potential skill for the written word from her mother's Irish roots being distantly related to famed novelist, James Joyce.
The love of family and sharing stories about life was a perfect springboard for Anne Marie to become a writer. But not until her husband, Tim died and gave her convincing "food for thought" and experiences beyond her imagination, did she feel compelled to document their history. Writing this memoir has been an incredibly healing experience with peaks and valleys along the way. As her life continues in this realm, she looks forward to the next chapter in her journey, with hope for whatever it may bring.
