About the Author

My mother and her sister-in-law had their babies a week apart in hopes of having the first girl in the harmon family. My mother won this race as Winter Harmon-Mensah was born to her on one hot summer month in August 1979. My mother said when she first saw me she knew I was destined to be great someday. My parents fought over my name. I grew up with two sisters and two brothers. I graduated from Pleasantville High School in the top 20% of my senior class. I went into the US Army and became a disabled veteran. I pursued a bachelor's degree in social work, and now I am currently enrolled Richard Stockton College of New Jersey for the Master's of Social Work Program. I'm a married with a four year daughter and teenage stepchildren. I enjoy fantasy and action movies, cooking and baking from recipes, traveling, and mother/daughter time. My mother passed away on April 2, 2014 of heart failure. So I dedicate this book to her because she always told me to believe in work.
