About the Author

Sally Huss has been an artist and writer all of her life. After attending Occidental College for 3 years, she graduated from USC with a degree in Fine Arts. At the same time Sally was developing her artistic skills, she was developing her tennis skills, becoming Wimbledon and US Junior Champion, and eventually a Wimbledon semi-finalist in the Women's Division.

This is a wonderful book for children. It teaches a critically important lesson that children (and adults) should never succumb to widely-held biases of what kind of person can accomplish what task. If a child wants to do something--and believes that she or he can do it--they should be encouraged to demonstrate that capability. Who among us would not have wanted an example at a young age that we can succeed in following our dreams? Ms. Huss's book provides the needed encouragement for kids.
