Dalton Brothers: Antarctica
Ben, Josh, and Alex travel through the southern tip of Chile known as the Tierra de Fuego or the land of fire in order to get to Puerto Williams where their sail boat waits. After several challenges they manage to arrive at Port Williams and take the sail boat across the Ocean. But Jennifer who is helping to coordinate their journey shows up in Port Williams unexpectedly. She is concerned for Ben and his brothers. Ben and Jennifer decide it is best if she coordinates the operation from the field, and they get a sponsor who would help with field operations.
Jennifer finds a company that makes outdoor documentaries that is willing to pay for a lot of the expenses and to help support them. The company’s name is SERCA and Jason Phillips is the man in charge with his lead camera man Cody Michell. They also hire Brian Teasdale to help take care of the sail boat and to sail it from place to place where they need it.
Ben and his brothers are able to arrive in the South Shetland Islands after going through a massive storm, then from their they land on the Antarctic Peninsula where they make their journey to Vinson Massif where they climb it in two days and almost get lost in a white out. They also have to battle the cold trying not to get frostbite.
They decide to head for the South Pole where they stay at the Amundsen-Scott station and then from their go through George V Land to Dumont station where they will sail across the ocean to Tasmania and Australia. But before getting to Dumont they run out of food and almost die from starvation.
In the end they reach Dumont and start to prepare to sail to Australia, with Mt. Everest in the back of their mind as the next great challenge they will have to face.
