Singh: Presently holding the position of Nodal Officer, college of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, VCSG University of horticulture and Forestry, Bharsar, Pauri Garhwal and Professor and former Head, Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding, College of Veterinary and Animal Science, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology Pautnagar, U.S.Nagar. Dr.Singh held the position of Head, Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding for long time, Principal, CCSSDS Degree College Iglas, Aligarh, Joint Director, Instructional Dairy/Poultry Farm and Addl. Director and Monitoring of the university and also held some other administrative positions in the university,is animal breeder of repute, who identified several new germplasm viz. Chaugarkha and Udaipuri Goats and Hill Cattle and developed strain of commercial broiler. He organized two national symposiums. Dr. C.V. Singh has about thirty years’ experience of teaching, research and extension in animal sciences particularly in animal breeding. He has guided more than 15 Post Graduate students in the field of Animal and Poultry Breeding. He is also the author of some other books and monographs and published around 300 research papers on different aspects of animal production and breeding in peer reviewed journals of national and international repute
