CHAPTER 1

Hi My name is Perry, but everyone calls me Pooh! I am Ten Years Old. My Dad is a Preacher, and he loves to Preach! I love to hear him talk about God on Sunday Morning at our Church. The Church Folk get excited! Some of the ladies Jump! and Dance! The Choir Sing Loud! Aunt Dee said that they got the Holy Ghost! I sure hope that Ghost don't get on me and make me act like that! She said that it was just a feeling of great happiness in their hearts, not a real Ghost. I was glad to hear that!

Even though Daddy can Preach really well I am Lonely for him, and so is my mother. You see he takes care of every at the church, but barely comes home to take care of our family. Momma and Daddy argue because he doesn't spend quality time with us too. She says that he Preaches one thing, and does something else.

Daddy Doesn't Practice What He Preach!

Daddy says that he is doing the best that he can, but mom, and I still miss him.

Sometimes when I see other boys that are playing and talking to their fathers, I get sad, and upset, and wish that my Dad could do that for me.

My mother talks to me kindly, and tells me that everything is going to be alright if we trust God, and believe that he will take care of us. She says that what my father is doing at the church is great, but at home with us he is different.

I tell her that I don't think that my daddy can become a great Preacher until he becomes a great father, and husband first!

There are days when I am so bored and lonely in my room. I feel that If my Daddy would just play Video Games, or Throw A Ball to me sometimes, Then I wouldn't feel that he didn't love me.

If Daddy would come home, and just have a little fun with Mommy and I then we could be a happy Family, just like God intended for us to be.

Daddy tells mommy that he loves us, but he has to take care of the Church people first, because he is responsible for them. He tells mom that she knows this, and she needs to understand. Mom listens to him, but doesn't agree.

When they argue I worry that they will divorce, and I don't want them to do that. I want my parents to stay together. I want us to keep our Family that God gave us.

I listened to Daddy when he said that he was responsible to the Church people, but isn't he responsible to us as a family too?

I wondered what could I do? I am only ten years old, so how can I help my parents stay together?

I go to Sunday School at my Church and I read my Children Bible. My Aunt Dee is our Sunday School Teacher. She teaches us all about God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost.

So I went to my Study Table in my room, and I took out my Children Bible and started to read about the family.

I learned that God made the Family right after he made the Earth. He made a Man named Adam, and a Woman named Eve. They had two sons named Caine, and Abel.

It was God, Man, Woman, and their two Boys, and they were called a Family. God wants my Daddy to do what he did, and take care of his family First!
