Ramón Acevedo nació en Bayamón, Puerto Rico el 5 de junio de 1940. Pintor desde los 10 años de edad. Estuvo en las fuerzas armadas de los Estados Unidos y fue participe de la guerra de Viet-Nam. Estudió su escuela intermedia en la ciudad de Nueva York y su universidad en la Universidad Central de Bayamón PR. Casado con su esposa Sonia Magaly Kercadó por 44 años y tiene dos hijos. Ramón Enrique Acevedo,de quien se trata este libro y Glorily Magaly Acevedo su hija. Hoy esta retirado y sigue con su arte http//:acevedoart.com . Vive hoy en Orlando Florida pero su arte es inspirado por su Islita del encanto Puerto Rico.
