About the Author

Robert Peters is a member of the Wampanoag Nation with family rooted in Mashpee, Massachusetts. Robert grew up with pride in his Wampanoag and heritage and culture. As a young man he became an artist and started writing poetry and prose.

Robert not only wrote this story as told to him by his son, he also created its one of kind illustrations that brings Da Goodie Monsta and the urban experience to life with vivid imagery and form.

Robert's artwork of masterful etchings in colorful halftones shades expresses the mood and timeline of the story and also adds mystery and intrigue.

Da Goodie Monsta is Rober'ts first children's book.
