Overview

We remember reading about Daphne in grade school. She's that Niad who becomes a Laural tree. Dáphnē Naïáda retells that story only all the gods are an extended Greek family living in the Pennsylvania Poconos. Further, to add more fun, Dáphnē's story only begins after she becomes a tree. All the animals and plants have Lenape names and follow the Lenape culture. They teach respect for Lenape values.

The author had grand fun punning on English names for these florae and fauna. In intense scenes, you won't know if you should laugh or take on a more pensive tone. You will love this novel

About the Author

My fictional novels are semi-autobiographical. Born in Vandergrift PA 25 minutes from Kittanning, my history is like Forest Gump. Kittanning was an important Lenape town in Western PA. Colonel Armstrong’s attack came, 4 hundred folks living there. Easton Treaty regarding this was signed in 1758. Easton is where our Independence Declaration was read first. A Navy Veteran, Charles Albacore used my naval experience in writing Daphne. The writer used extensive self-study in Hebrew, Koine Greek, and Judaica in writing Daphne. He also used his extensive training in pastoral studies.

The writer ever the clown, you fill find in Daphne, funny, amusing, and entertaining. You will also find it educational. Daphne is a must-read.
