About the Author

Dr. B.B.S. Kapoor Ph.D., F.S.Sc is working as a Associate Professor in P.G. department of Botany, Govt. Dunger College, Bikaner. He is actively engaged in research especially on Ecology of Rajasthan Desert and Medicinal plants of this region. He has published a number of research papers and articles in reputed scientific journals, magazines and books, conducted several research projects and has been supervising M.Phil and Ph.D. scholar. He has fifteen books to his credit. He is environmental thinker, educator and campaigner and is often invited by school, Govt. and Non Govt. institution and organisations to deliver lectures on burning environmental issues and herbal plants. He is on the panel of All India radio, TV & ETV as an herbal expert. He has participated in a number of national and international seminar, conferences and workshop. He has honoured with several state and national level awards in the field of popularization of science and research of medicinal plants. Dr. Ahmed Ali did his M.A. in Geography in 1976 from J.N.V University Jodhpur and M.Phil & Ph.D. from Rajasthan University, Jaipur in 1988 & 1992 respectively. He started his career as a lecturer in 1977 and at present working as a lecturer (selection grade) in P.G. Deptt. Of Geography, Govt. Dunger College. He is actively engaged in research especially on water resources and their management in Rajasthan desert, conducted several research projects and has been supervising Ph.D. scholar. He has a number of research papers and article to his credit. He has participated in several national and international seminars, conferences and workshops. Dr. K.K. Singh did his M.Sc. in Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science in 1988 from Agra University, Agra and M.Phil. & Ph.D. in 1992 & 1995 respectively from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He joined the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Rajasthan in 1993 as a research officer & at present working in project research agriculture & soil survey, Bikaner. He has contributed 23 research papers and 35 Articles to his credit. He is also a Recipient of" Young Agriculture Scientist National Award" for the year 2000. He has attended a number of seminars, conferences & workshops. He is also an expert in agricultural programmes broadcast from AIR, Bikaner. Mrs. Chandrakanta did her M.Sc. in Botany from Rajasthan University, Jaipur in 1978. She started her career as a school teacher in 1978 and at present working as a lecturer in senior secondary school, Khetri. She is recipient of "President Guide" in 1971. She has taken training in the field of fine arts organized by ministry of culture and arts New Delhi. She has organized several culture programmes including dramas based on current national problems at district as well as state level. She is environmental thinker & educator and often invited by educational institutions to deliver lecture on burning environmental issues. She has many drama script & poems to her credit. She has participated in number of seminar & workshop.
