Cup of Coffee

He got up and went in unbuttoning his shirt. She was sitting up in bed when he came out wearing only his pants and underpants, he was carrying his shirt and shoes. For his sake, she smiled at him and turned out the light, thus allowing him to pull his pants off in the dark. Moments later she felt him slip into bed with her, but he was making certain he stayed far enough over on his side of the queen-sized bed so he would not touch her.

However, for him the fanciful daydream of what was happening to him was way too much. He forced himself to lie still, but he was wide awake listening to her breathing and a few times he could have sworn he could even detect her heartbeat. All that ended when she rolled over to face him. She looked at his face in the dim light coming from the window and touched it ever so gently. It was so soft that at first he was not sure she had touched him at all.
