T Mar is a miner, the head of an interstellar mining consortium. Thomas Marius Solaris, would rather mine from his one man Ship, Eagle Mark X, than to run his corporation. While in the Maralt system, Claim jumpers attack him and he must defend himself. Eagle is heavily damaged and must repair herself.
Leigh is the daughter of the sole owner of Lunas Interstellar. Lunas Interstellar mining has mines in nearly every occupied system. They are operated by indentured workers. All ores are sent to central processors on Luna to be refined.
Leigh finds out that her maternal uncle, has been killed in the Maralt system. Then her father drops a bombshell on her. She MUST marry the owner of Solaris Mining, their chief competitor. Flying away to Maralt to find the truth about her uncle's death will not free her from her father's influence, after all it is his crew that mans the ship.
Richard Lunas will not release the reins of Lunas Interstellar willingly. He has prostituted his wife, murdered, bribed, cheated, or blackmailed any who stood in his way. Now his daughter thinks she can deny his will? So not happening!
