About the Author

About The Author
Mary Monroe has been writing for a variety of audiences for several decades. With a bachelor’s degree in journalism, she found herself in the unlikely world of advertising. As she rose the ranks of advertising copywriter to senior account executive, marketing officer and Assistant Vice President of advertising for a growing savings & loan, she often pondered the thin line between what was ethical and what was good for the client. Cry Murder, Baby encapsules this concept: what if you had a product that you magnificently marketed to the public for mass usage and then discovered it had a flaw? A tragic flaw?

Writing authentic pieces has been Monroe’s hallmark: when she was a teacher for a diverse population of struggling readers, she wrote a trilogy of short, easy-to-read novels in which they could relate. This work comprised of Miracle at Monty Middle School, Milagro en la Escuela Monty, Krazy White Girl, Tagger, and Tagger, Reader’s Theater, which in part earned her recognition in her community and Teacher of the Year for Palm Beach County. Her first nonfiction piece was a true story of her years as a caregiver to her husband of 41 years: I Didn’t Sign Up for This: One Caregiver’s Personal Story and How She Survived.

Monroe continues to delight audiences with her fresh approach on a wide variety of topics. She is currently working on her next fiction piece: Love After Loss. She resides in Lake Worth, Florida, with her family. For more information, www.marymonroebooks.com
