About the Author

After several years spent working in video games and Japanese animation, Guillaume Dorison, aka Izu, became literary editor of the French branch of Humanoids in 2006 when he launched the Shogun collection dedicated the original manga creations, with the aim of reinventing the Shonen genre. Under the pen name Izu, he has written over 20 comics and manga, including the sci-fi series Omega Complex, which was given the Animeland Award for Best French manga in 2010.
Alexis Racunica, also known as Alex Nikolavitch is a screenwriter, comic book translator and essayist. He has translated comics such as Batman: Arkham Asylum, Hulk Planet and V for Vendetta. He has also written comic books himself, including Crusades, Tengu-Do, Spawn: Simony and The Last Cigarette.
Born in 1975, Zhang Xiaoyu is originally from the town of Anshun in the Guizhou Province in Southern China. He created his first comic pages in 1995 while he was an art student. He has since completed a dozen comic works, many of which with prestigious European publishers, from Humanoids (Crusades) to Casterman or Glenat (The Chronicles of Legion). Zhang has twice been awarded China’s top comics prizes: in 1999 for David, and in 2001 for The Take-off, and has become one of the country’s most sought after comics artist. He is also involved with the publication of FEI, a magazine specialized in Sci-Fi stories.
