Interviews

From the Author
In Crossing the Bridge, Earl A. Reitan tells a tale of successes and defeats—humor and pathos—as three generations of his Norwegian-American family struggled to cross the bridge that led from their Old World origians to the mainstream of American life. His Reitan grandparents came to Grove City, MN from Trondheim, Norway. His mother's family were Danish farmers who lived nearby. In a well-illustrated book, replete with anecdotes, the author tells their story as he observed and lived it. Earl A. Reitan is Professor of History Emeritus at Illinois State University.
