Chantal Garceau is the founder of Chantal's Little Shoes. After a career as a sportswear designer in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, she moved to Washington State and put her creative background to use as a freelancer for charity, and just for fun. In December 2010 she began sponsoring a child with the Imani Project in Kenya, Africa. Learning about the great needs of orphan children in Kenya prompted her to start Chantal's Little Shoes, a social enterprise devoting all profits to this cause. Chantal lives in Woodinville, Washington, with her husband.
Mary J. King grew up in Minnesota and has dabbled in many arts and crafts, preferring to repurpose salvaged and seconhand materials whenever possible. She enjoys volunteering for a variety of causes, including Chantal's Little Shoes. Mary has degrees in languages and library science from the University of Minnesota, and writing has been a lifelong hobby and delight for her. She lives in Woodinville, Washington, with her family and pets.
